DentAlert is a bilingual dental-literacy project for people who have been left confused, pressured, or priced out of care.
Dental bills and treatment plans can be difficult to understand. For uninsured, low-income, undocumented, and Spanish-speaking patients, that confusion creates another barrier to care. DentAlert translates common costs, billing concerns, and patient questions into plain language.
DentAlert was founded by Carlos Valdez, a software engineer and pre-dental student. It combines his technology background, bilingual community perspective, and interest in equitable oral healthcare. Carlos is not a dentist, physician, or attorney.
We use plain language, name our sources, separate education from professional advice, correct meaningful errors, and never require an account or immigration information to use the core guides.
